Funny. Pitfall Trap could have been Pi-T-Fall Trap. (i.e., Pitiful Trap)
doh, somehow forgot the reach
Well, I already kinda entered with Cinderella (Mental) ... alex? Your syntax for off-set links is insane.
Random gather has given me Pitfall Trap (But what the heck is a falltrap?) and then Aysen Highway, producing Ays, en High. Way!
For Challenge # 025
Grrrrr. tick. tock. Grrrrr. tick. tock.
(Apologies to clockwork wolf)
I pushed the Random Button on Gatherer and ended up with Watch Wolf and Nat. Ural Selection.
For Challenge # 025. I pressed the random button on Gatherer, and was much less lucky this time, ending up with Natural Selection. Deciding to make the best of a bad situation, I looked up the word Nat in Dictionary.com. It turns out that the National Party of a few countries uses Nat. as an abbreviation... specifically New Zealand. After doing a bit of research, I figured if the NZ Nat. party was based in the Ural region of Russia, they would probably focus on the vast agricultural district of Russia, and (partially) reject the large industrial centers. They also wouldn't like to be taxed. Hence part 1 and part 2. The Nats also seem to have a thing about everyone being a citizen treated the same way... I tried to include "All creatures are Townsfolk in addition to their other types.", but that was too many lines of text.
Feel free to tell me off if you're a Kiwi and I'm wrong. As far as U.S. news sources are concerned, there isn't anything on the other side of the pond, unless it threatens our liberties. :(
For Challenge # 025. I hit the random button on Gatherer, and considered myself very fortunate to hit Watchwolf. This wolf, of course, comes into play with four watches, and sells them to others for a small price. If the flavor text format sounds familiar, it's because I stole that idea from Bronze Calendar, which, now that I think of it, probably would have been accepted for this challenge...
Man, I was really hoping for universal Floodgate-action.
"And I promise you, that if I am made Mayor of this town, we will eliminate the Myr infestation once and for all!"
-J. Jonah Jameson
Cool. What would be really cool, though, would be to someone play this to get rid of a blocker, then watch that person play a spell they couldn't cast before, like Broken Visage.
Go Blinking and Equi-NOₓ, although I didn't find any titles as good as the others here.
This is supposed to capture the notion (like on Nightmare) of a horse made out of smoke. I'm not sure how well it works.
Based on equinox for Challenge # 025
A slight variation on flicker or momentary blink, that can hit any player's creatures, including token creatures, and leaves them off the battlefield for part of the turn, but can only hit creatures which have gone into combat.
Based on Goblin King for Challenge # 025
This made me actually laugh out loud :)
