Was thinking of pricing it
as the ability is mostly black; but I'm glad this seems reasonable to other people.
It's still boostable by Crusade and other globals, but yeah, it can't be your primary unit.
Didn't know about the bear. Yeah; this is just a colourshift of that; and white usually gets stronger weenies than blue, so this is probably powered just fine.
In fact, isn't it functionally identical to Phantasmal Bear even though it comes to it in a completely different way? In which case it must be fine power-wise.
Given Elite Vanguard, this seems printable, to me. It's not just easier for the opponent to kill: this can't be equipped or hit with Moment of Heroism etc.
Skulking Fox and... thinking.
For Challenge # 061: This appears to be the M:tG meaning of 'skulk', as seen on Skulking Ghost, Skulking Knight etc.
Arctic foxes are white (obviously) Foxfire is green... Kitsune are white... And so is Silverchase Fox (Though that might be the same logic as the arctic one...)
Can't think of another foxy ability, so we'll just use the "Downside lets you be bigger than usual" part of skulk, and bring a legendary rare down to uncommon for it. Pushing the envelope; but you can still kill it with any pinger.
I like the idea, but I think you can get "untap all creatures you control" for
, so it may need a different cost or to be attached to a creature.
Added Make Way to the list.
For Challenge # 060. Rough challenge... mostly because it seems so damn obvious what do to here... just deal a lot of damage to a lot of creatures. But doing that and finding a way to keep it interesting... that's the rub.
I did think of an alternative.... a big red spell that blew up in one's face. But this card was very red, so I either had to create a very fragile (and thus not much fun) red spell, or do some sort of Redirect (normally blue) or Reverse Damage (normally white). I couldn't wrap my head round those options, though. I also thought this looked like the end of a story-line, and that some 'hero' had destroyed a 'moon' to rid the world of the evil dragon empire... so I tried to top down with that, but I kept thinking of Soratami and... I've been returning enough cards to owner's hands lately.
Anyhow, I think this is interesting. I suppose that will have to do.
Troop of Baboons Tower of Giraffes
Challenge # 061
I think this might be a little more blue than white.
Challenge # 061
Heh. I find the 'obvious' comboes with Dueling Ground and the like to be kind of funny.
1/2 it is. It's nice to see the occasional cheap creature not be wiped off the board due to Pyroclasm, but I agree. This card needs a lot of answers for it to be fair.
