(((Rich Vein))), which now that I think of it, doesn't count, since the mana doesn't come with a restriction or a bonus. I was thinking the land needed to have a restriction or a bonus, but... that would be all non-basics, eh? Think I've been missing the point.
That's okay, I'm probably just going to be moving the offending cards to New Mirrodin anyway.
Elves of Paradise, Llanowar Elves plus with a restriction.
Elvish Embassy, another not-quite-dual land.
Hee. Yes, seems pretty Rakdos. Quite a harsh drawback; as you say, it becomes virtually useless late-game. I wonder whether this could actually be rainbow rather than just two colours.
Oh, though this does work well for powering abilities such as firebreathing or Rix Maadi Guildmage's, which definitely helps.
Darktar Stonecaster in the vein of Heartless Summoning
Gilded Elf
Rakdos Chapterhouse, a dual land which lets you only spend mana on colour-intensive costs.
Nantuko Ambassador.
Lavabubble Mountains another attempt at a "mana that gives some spells a bonus", limited to burn spells.
Oops, good point! Sorry.
You're probably right. I was just brainstorming for the challenge and this is what happened.
i'm not sure copies get the bonus.
Do you get the effect 3 times, or 1? Either way I rather doubt this is worth any benefit over simply "Add 3 rainbow mana. Each opponent loses 3 and you gain 3."
It's hard to pay colourless mana to cast Gigadrowse no matter how many times you replicate it...
(Unless there's a helpful Sphere of Resistance or similar, of course.)
Gigadrowse seems an obvious combo with it, or other cheap replicate spells. I definitely like the idea, but "draw a card" is a really powerful rider if there's any way of duplicating it.
This is a neat idea.
Or repeat with a card with Storm.
