I like the card, and am amused by the flavour text :)
Specter's Shroud, right?
Nice! As you say - very strong, but not an incredible boost, as you would have just played those lands normally otherwise.
fix mana symbols
Moons of Seketh, a land for the 9th art I've used. And I'm inclined to say V was right about the first card being an islandwalk islandhome space whale and not try to outdo that card :)
Wow, I hit this challenge a bit too hard! I shouldn't have spent so long thinking about it. But I love the different ideas the bits of art bring forth. Hopefully there's no worry about people designing different cards for art I've already used.
Different kinds of port, works either way; this for the "City that touches the sky" or the other, which has actual floating things on it.
And yeah, go ahead; we're making up the terminology as we go :) "Teleport" for "Summon" is great.
Continual steal exists in main magic; though usually imparted by creatures. So I don't see a problem with it existing here.
Ah well, they're hardly big and famous. I suspect nowadays this would just be "Put a +1/+1 counter on a Tau" - pretty much 'Allies' tribal; as it is, it's too parasitic. But if such a thing were grandfathered in right from the start, it could work.
Plus, hey, auxillaries. (Which we haven't seen any of yet, a shame.)
Oops again. Thank you! Yes, I meant #7, although now I realise #3 almost fits better...
Also missing artwork, and I took the liberty to add it. This one I wasn't so sure about. I think this was 3, but if it happened to be 7, feel free to change it.
Enhanced Cybernetics
Oops, yep. Good spot, thank you.
Also scary with Trade Routes and maybe Exploration. But you're going pretty far to give a 1/1 two +1/+1 counters every turn.
The artwork on this card was missing, but I'm pretty sure you're referencing #9, so I took the liberty of adding it myself.
Very nice.
Thank you.
Oops! The reminder text was screwed up, I don't know if that mattered.
I assumed Space: The Convergence would have similar numbers of hover and orbital, even if the preview article only showed orbital, but maybe that wouldn't need to be the case. You could either say orbital is flying and hover is half-flying or hover is flying and orbital is flying-plus, either would work, though orbital=hover is what the original article proposed.
I felt horsemanship creatures should be blockable by fliers, partly from common sense and partly from balance, but that never happened :)
change "flying or orbital" to "hover or orbital"
You know, I think this is the second time I accidentally ripped a popular character. Doesn't really bother me, since it's still appropriate. Just funny... I guess it's bound to happen. I dodged any image I did recognize, but it's a lot harder to dodge what you don't know...
Anyhow, I really like the 'selfish tribal' mechanic. It'd be great to see a tribe be this exclusionary. Especially if it meant you could print more powerful cards in the process (this guy, for example, could just be an Isamaru, Hound of Konda assuming there's only Tau in play. It's both not a restriction, and a restriction.) I could see the mechanic being very love/hate, like slivers are.
So Orbital is super-flying, but it's the more common of the two? That makes sense to me. It's a good idea for Magic in general, but they probably haven't used it because it sounds like a drawback, if it wasn't grandfathered in with the original product.
By the way, I rather like "Research a card, then obsolete a card". Gives the impression these guys are learning new things left and right.
