I went down a different route with Cloudheath Sphinx, Gargantuan Sphinx, Jhessian Sphinx, Jund Sphinx and Kederekt Sphinx. By using color-shared effects, I've managed to put blue-style abilities (evasion granting and counter manipulation) on both the Jund and Naya sphinxes.

Added Slumbering Sphinx, Supposing Sphinx, Skulking Sphinx, Sadistic Sphinx and Sprightly Sphinx. These five ran a bit long, so I ended up solving the green non-flying problem by accident. None of them fly. Not enough space for it.

It's no better than Viscera Seer or Carrion Feeder from that POV, though. So I don't think it's necessary.

The "issue" is that it makes it an incredibly efficient response to removal that exiles or tucks, so long as you'd rather have the card in your graveyard. It might be very nice to have in EDH for that reason.

Nifty. Normally rather worse than Mirror Entity, but it is only a one-drop. Reminds me a little of Hero of Leina Tower.

I made Form-Carver as the most obvious example I could think of that required X y could also feasibly require only green mana for both developmental and flavor reasons.
