You can't cheat out anything, because this needs to die first. And 7 mana to "cheat" is laughable.
I think you could go more with the route of a self assembling machine (because you could hit this 3 times) it should probably be less powerful stat wise but maybe not seeing how late it is anyways and that its restricted to green artifacts.
Well you cant ever counter a mana ability but it should have reminder text is what i mean
You can counter one, see disallow. Probably should keep it from countering mana abilities though.

Huh. I never noticed, but mtg currently completely lacks coyote's. Probably for that 'what creature type?' reason. I'm slightly surprised there weren't any back from before the great type rationalisation though.
Aside from that; yeah; this feels a bit underwhelming. Though personally I'd have gone the other way and made it a 1/1 1-drop.
I get the impression that this could be a 2/2, or at least a 2/1 or a 1/3. On round two, the ability will pretty much do nothing. On round 10, the power and toughness will be somewhat meaningless.
