White can flip damage around to either a creature or player Acolyte's Reward. I only randomized the target. The flavor is that your soldiers might return fire and kill an enemy or they might die in the act of protecting you.
Seems like white gets "Damage to creatures goes to (you|this)" - distributing it out to random people instead feels more like red's take on damage prevention. "And I shoot... my dragon. Ooops."
Mmm. Depends on the set. It'd certainly look fine at rare.
If this were going to stay at uncommon, I'd suggest changing the cost from

This is rather nice beside Erebos, God of the Dead. Not only does it provide nearly all the devotion you need, but it gives his ability a rather better rate of return.
Also spectacular in a Phyrexian-mana deck, which I imagine is the point. Spellskite is suddenly extremely scary.
It's an Aura that attaches to Wall of Blood, turning it into Yawgmoth's Bargain.

That name is way too long and complicated for a Magic cards. I like the effect, though.
