Added haste
upped p/t from 4/4
Reduced cost from

Increased toughness to 2.
This was really underwhelming when compare to Sphinx's Tutelage
Wow. Um, yeah, this is really really bad. Compared to Searing Wind or Violent Ultimatum it has three downsides: it affects you too, it won't give you the option you most need when you need it, and unlike either of those it can't hit creatures!
Point 2 needs elaboration. Even if this said "Each opponent sacrifices three lands unless that player chooses to have ~ deal 12 damage to him or her instead", it'll never do the most useful thing. When you really need to take out the opponent's mana, they'll opt for the life loss; when you really need to deal the damage to finish them off, they'll sac the lands.
I'd say go back to the drawing board on this one.
I feel like a card that offers a choice needn't cost 8.
Could this have Surge before the fight? It'll be rather annoying that your creature doesn't have the extra power, and really confusing that it effectively does have the extra toughness (since lethal damage isn't checked until the spell is done resolving).
Still works with Licids (once per turn), Felidar Umbra, or Detainment Spell (the latter two require two creatures to bounce it back and forth between instead of one).
Well.. yes; that's nerfed most of the really bad stuff - but it's also completely nerfed the card. The opponent only needs to kill one thing to stop your rampage?
I guess hexproof exists though; so maybe it's still usable ish.
Nerfed abusive applications?
Flickering Ward: Buyback Vindicate. Do not adjust your TVs.
Until...?
Even Admonition Angel had a duration, and it's much easier to play multiple auras in a turn. This would be hell in a Slippery Boggle deck.
Hm. So it's 4 mana for Sign in Blood, or 5 mana for Murder. Or 6 mana for a Sign in Blood this turn, plus setting up for one next turn if your opponent can't get through for any damage; similarly 8 mana for double Murder etc.
Looks a little bit overcosted to me, for a mythic. Perhaps
would be better.
