It could be monoblack and cheaper - Zombify - or better - Rise from the Grave. Even if you made this , it'd still be strictly worse than Zombify. How about returning a creature from any graveyard? That's normally 5 mana - Rise from the Grave, Beacon of Unrest - but I imagine could get it for 4 mana, since each half exists at 4 mana (Zombify, Ashen Powder).

Slightly less meh at 6 for 3; but still meh. Ah well, a cardset needs some meh; in the right player's hands this'll be just the right tool.
