See The Withers.
Prepare a spell → cast a prepared spell
See Echron, the Visitor.
No longer Tamiyo for... reasons. One → in mana cost.
Similar space to Thriving Bluff.
I updated Prepare to Foretell on the mechanics page, which turned this into a better Doomskar. I hit really close with this, though; I planted for prepare to cost and Foretell costs , so the costs were very roughly equivalent.
Hey, the Foretell mechanic from Kaldheim is my prepare if it went through development and refinement! Neat.
Yeah, this particular card is awful, TBH, and so is the whole cycle. I'll almost certainly abandon them, but I wanted to put the idea in storage to inspire me in the future.
I get the Anydria concept, but those mana costs... :(
IIRC an open/closed gate has no inherent rules meaning, correct?
Are you overplaying your hand on complexity with combining different hybrid mana symbols in costs, hybrid gold costs, meditate and the untap symbol.
That's just this one card; I imagine in context with other cards this would be mind-boggling.
See Wellwind Tern.
Previously considered for set 1, and cost was .
See Artistic Fervor and my comments on Wellwind Tern.
See Kiran Matron:
I've been thinking about how Set 2 would continue themes seen in Set 1 while still introducing new ideas. The monocolor themes in Set 1 will continue as the b archetypes supported by those colors + blue in set two, but what about the color pair themes?
Perhaps they could receive multi-hybrid cards. Admittedly, I'm not really a fan of these (and the design space is so small!), but I might as well get the idea down.
Increased cost by , power of returned creature by 1, and gave +1 power.
