there's the art
deactivate in place of Comet Kick
Bringing in from the backup list as a replacement for Internal Freakout, to mix up the costs of common burn spells a bit.
I've been discovering a problem: the main common burn spells in the red-black limited deck are Internal Freakout and Wasabi Overwhelming, plus this at uncommon. They're all 4 mana. There is also Glitterbomb at common but that's a bit more niche.
To mix up the costs a bit, I'm swapping this for Hungering Puddle; and I'm swapping Internal Freakout for Comet Kick. (Since I don't have any other options for the black-red common.)
deactivate. reactivating Hungering Puddle in its place.
reactivate in place of Rainbow Laser
reactivate since Phoenix Ascension had to go
deactivate :( swapping Flash, Handsome Rogue back in.
With the mill cards getting cut, this is left somewhat orphaned in the set without many ways to trigger it. It keeps coming up in Limited without much hope to use it. It's never going to do much in Sealed, but even in Draft, to make this work you'd need some self-mill or hefty loot (“The Other Side” and “Coinky-Dink World” are the only options remaining), plus some ways to remove multiple cards from the graveyard, of which all that remain are off-colour and mostly rare. The card would be fun for a dedicated casual build-around deck, but I think it's going to just do almost always do nothing.
And as much as I love this moment and the song it's from, as much as it'd hurt to cut it from the set... it's also pretty unpleasant to look at it in a booster and think "oh, darn, that's not the powerful rare I wanted, that's that really niche card I don't have support for".

art. background colourshifted from its original pinkish-red...
I assume this is the art FOME had in mind?
They're only onscreen for a couple of seconds. This shot was pretty much building on the Season 1 episode. I'm torn between this shot and the black silhouettes. (The animation shows why that's the only two shots I have.)
