Investigate is just a slow cantrip, and all colors get that. Black getting life gain isn't even a bend. White and blue both get conditional ramp anyway, although treasure tokens are a bit more versatile than normal
I have a feeling artifact tokens are just a way to get off-color effects into colors:
It's weird, isn't it?
Name changed from Noble Outlaw to Distinguished Outlaw
Flavor text was unfinished
Ngl, I haven o iea what I was thinking when I designed this card. I don't think the ability is inherently problematic. Rather, I want opinions on the name. I don't know whyI chose "Paper Homunculus." Well, something in my head though sacrificing the artifact creatures was homunculusy. The "paper" bit is the odd part. While paper was used in England in at least 1309 apparently, I'm unsure if it fits the aesthetic. Should I switch to "Vellum Homunculus" or do you think that's unecessarily creepy (as this set doesn't really suggest much of that sort of fear)?
Well, the issue is quite a lot of images we've tried out, found one that works. Then you changed how the algorithm fits it and they don't work good any more.
Yeah, I made it handle the case better where the image is just slightly wrong in either direction. But it's hard to say what Multiverse "should" do if you give me an image that's completely the wrong proportions. If the image is a sorcery or something like a land, often focusing on the centre rather than the top will be better.
I agree that making your own crops and uploading them to something like imgur is the best solution.
Yeah, Alex improved the card-art image fitting recently. The results are less than optimal.
Many of these arts don't fit and create these awkward preview images with the dudes' heads cut off. Also, linking directly to the art at like artstation is a bit wonky. Personally, I've created imgur albums with cropped images - well, images imported from MSE that fit quite well as 316x231.
Doesn't feel like a rare to me. Also annoyingly parasitic. As is, 2/3 flier for isn't anything to write home about.
Neat flavor tie-in.
Added nonland to second part.
Much better design in a vacuum than the previous version as well. Though even on a legendary Hill Giant this is a lot of cards.
