Color-checking seems appropriate for
, given Invoke Prejudice and Dead Ringers.
Added "flying" addendum. 3/5 -> 4/4.
Pseudo-exalted. Finisher for when you're stalled with a
deck, a beater for a
tempo deck, or just all around a first pickable card. Might bump down to 3/2 if too strong.
Turns out this is probably okay for
, as per Moment of Craving.
Modifying the sacrifice to be a result of monstrosity.
Adding an addendum to prevent unintuitive interactions with sacrificing. Not sure if kosher or necessary, but probably needed.
Sacrifice a creature for Monstrosity. I don't think it's been done before and it seems like an obvious design, so here it is. Useful for aggressive
decks but also for getting bequeath abilities for
and
decks.
I kind of want the black ability to Raise Dead instead of giving it indestructible, because I think it'd play better.
Changing this slot to be a combat trick slot. Similar to Give No Ground.
Whoops, in my draft I had it as Boar. Changed.
The canonical creature type for pigs/boars is Boar.
Cool effect. Cost seems fitting enough. Instant speed seems questionable, but that's inherent to monstrosity.
I think you want PARAM1ASWORDS in the monstrosity reminder text (or just use the site-wide deafault reminder text for official keyword abilities).
Red/Off-color green rare. Pretty standard design if you ask me.
Just need a Rat and a Rabbit for all twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac in the set.
P3K Reprint. "muh lightning strike" yeah yeah yeah, I know.
Yeah. This was made before I created Tongshan Pathmaker, and I like that better as the common red Lure card. This is adjusted to menace because I'll be damned if I make a strictly worse Act of Treason. In regards to the converted mana cost being red flagged, I think I'm okay with that. I've never really paid too much heed to red flags under NWO minus the "4 lines or less" and the "not complicating combat" clause.
@Vitenka, I'm not sure if you're still running with the NNWO joke but what makes you think that temporary steal in Red isn't at common?
Changed from Lure to Menace.
Of the eight printings of Act of Treason, all of which are fairly recent, seven of them are common. Looks quite common to me.
Cards with the phrase "converted mana cost" are automatically red-flagged which affects this particular card along general text length.
IMO you could keyword "must be blocked" as "taunt" or something. Eldritch Moon used skulk exactly thrice and IMO this has similar possibility of being "evergreen testable". Well, obviously skulk was introduced in Shadows of Innistrad in which it was used 10 times but whatever. "Taunt" could have some issues, say, when it compels opponents to not to play creatures when you have a big creature with the said keyword since it would "eat them up" quickly. That doesn't seem nice to me. So it seems to have similar issues to skulk where large creatures with the keyword would be ill-advised.
Steal target cheap creature UEOT; it attacks with lure.
That's.. yeah I give up. Stealing control of creatures just isn't an 'at common' effect.
At least the last sentence could be truncated a bit...
> Until end of turn, it has haste and must be blocked if able.
Yeah. I'm thinking of changing this to a Wrangle variant or something, but I like the effect at common... If only I had a keyword for "must be blocked".
Nice idea, but Hmmmm. I think we can make it ffit, by abusing reminder text:
"Target cheap creature must be blocked. It attacks."
(Cheap creatures cost 3 or less, no, this doesn't care if the creature isn't yours, is tapped, etc.)
But yeah, this should be uncommon :)
That's 30+ words or so. Around three times the NNWO word limit. Blasphemous!
