yes! that sounds good! But I don't think I could use a brand new mechanic on a single card from this set...
I like this card, but it doesnt seem right to have a mechanic from a future set first seen on a single card sets beforehand...
Im trying to keep somewhat of a canon..
Maybe what you really want is to come up with a new mechanic; and give it to advisors? Maybe something similar to soulbond, advisors sound like they should work best by improving other creatures.
Or just go with coming up with a slight widening of the abilities advisors give, some decent vanillas, and generic tribal support to try and have them be a viable tribe?
yeah... I was messing with Advisors before I made a set based off of it, most of these shitty advisor cards or just pure pumps and thats not okay... Dont really know what to do..
I have provided a long list of options. Tap/untap (Buereaucrats organizing stuff); Scry, loot (Librarians catalogueing stuff); taxing, rules setting (Governing, especially for higher rarities) etc.
You are aware this card is black and neither Bant nor Azorius colors are black, right?
ehhh... maybe... unique ability, but i dont know if i like it alot.... yeah this is trying too ahrd on flavor, makes the card weird... I haven't thought much of Advisors besides pure card draw... I think of them as Bant, but mostly Azorius.... WHat do you suggest as themes besides card draw...?
Could easily cost less (or jsut be less color intensive) and still have some other effect.
Would you be opposed to "Each Statue and Wall you control gets +1/+1 and can attack as though it didn't have defender."? Feels like an option for the name.
The flavor here is weird. This could use being simpler.
You went to the well of "Advisors draw cards" on like three other cards. Advisors certainly could do a lot of other stuff (scry, loot/rummage, cap/mill, discard, cremate, tap/untap, drain life, gain life, tax, recruit, tutor, bounce, maybe meddle with combat...)
If you are set on card draw I think thematically you could tie it to lifepayment/sacrifice and make it distinct from the other instances of card draw as well.
I feel the loyalty counter mechanic is excessive and weird from a flavor perspective. Shouldn't the sired Vampires already be loyal - at least not less loyal than your own advisors were beforehand?
Maybe "At the beginning of each end step, draw X cards, where X is a third of the amount of life you have gained this turn, rounded down." or something like this?
This would still work with the lifelink and make the card draw distinct for this card.

It's a really nice and really white card; though.
This seems like it would be better realized as an Aura e. g. Guard Duty with flash and a triggered ability upon entering the battlefield.
