I mean, sure, nice body to put it on; but costs mana and sacrifices the creature, as opposed to just owning the creature for two or more turns.
Nothing inherently wrong with two cards with similar effects (and yes, this is a nicely black variation - power now, forget about the cost!) I guess. It's just going to cause somewhat unfair comparisons between the two cards.
Oooh, nasty hoser for tribal decks. And.. huh, I can't see an obvious way to abuse it. Mycosynth lattice doens't change subtype; and I don't see any other 'all creatures are...' changer either. Nice card.
Obvious, simple to read, and a big "Huh; didn't something already do that? Guess not!"

That's exactly what the wording implies.
Call me old-fashioned, but Last Gasp and Grasp of Darkness are perfectly playable Constructed-level cards with perfectly horrific names.
