  I need a common gold land and I don't want to merely reprint Rupture Spire. I'm not sure how powerful this is, but I like the idea that you have to surrender resources to get maximum use.

  Wow. 6/5 flanking first strike, takes down a 7/7 without breaking a sweat. Pretty awesome. Which is of course appropriate for a tri-colour legend.

  Dev might try to add an extra to the cost here, but 2CDF is plausibly hard enough to cast to make it fine.

  Isn't this just better than Rupture Spire? Since you can always use itself to keep it on the battlefield, but, if you need to cast Lightning Bolt and this is the only red source you have, you can tap two other lands and use it right now...

  Hmm. Very similar to Rupture Spire, but also lets you play-and-sac it the turn it's played if you really need the mana. Which seems like a good thing, but I fear may actually serve as a trap to let people mana-screw themselves.
