Changed colors to mono-black.
Changed to Ash Barrens since Wizards just came out with it. Kind of powerful though!
Good point. I simply removed the haste.
That's why it is in Discovery Red, so you can use your nonbasics you hopefully accumulated when you want to use it.
Yeah, it borders rare, think playtesting is going to reveal if this is too strong or not. Could very well be a dead card all game long though.
2nd side is meant to punish players for not attacking or casting spells. It's especially anti-blue. I realize that technically your opponent could just tap out their lands anyway, but blue players who need to keep their mana open don't really have that option so much.
The way this card currently works though, it might inherently deal damage to you on the turn you cast it. I tried giving it haste to compensate but since it transforms during your end step that won't matter.
Not sure how I feel about sacrificing nonbasics, especially in Discovery's colors. We do have a few other red cards that sac lands though.
Thinking about it, this might actually be too powerful, as you could conceivably use it to clear the board for your opponent simply by sacing a bunch of nonbasics.
Changed last line to just be an option when you cycle a card.
Changed to rare.
Yea that is the intent. I'm not sure of how else to word it at the moment. If it comes down to it, to simplify matters it could just be changed to "Whenever you cycle a card, you may return ~ to your hand".
The last bit is worded strangely, you want it to return to your hand instead of drawing the card right? It's just not clear atm.
Oh yeah, Vigilance is kinda dead through Unbound :P
