Hot.
Going to hand also hurts the aspirational "I have 19 mana!" uses. (Useful, I guess, if you have a one-shot nigh-infinite mana engine, and want to upgrade to an 'every turn'?) So yeah, I think it wants some upside.
Hm, indestructible already covers most of the reasons you'd want to "have protection from creatures". So, you could either leave the protection clause out (brevity is great!), or change it to "can't be blocked by creatures". That doesn't completely cover every situation that Protection does, but it covers 90% or more of the ones that will actually come up in a normal game.
Protection always was a bit too many things to keep track of, anyways. (I had to mentally run through the DEBT mnemonic to figure out whether indestructible+unblockable covered all situations.)
It should be noted that this gets any land, and not just basic. So this is like a Sylvan Scrying that costs one more, but has 'kicker'. In theory fair. But I got to agree with NyphadoraTonks that even if this is fair, it reads poorly.
5 mana for 2 lands? That feels significantly worse than the typical costing for land search. Even at the 3 mana for 1 land price, normal land search puts it onto the battlefield tapped. How about XGG instead of XXG? Otherwise I'd suggest keeping the price but putting the lands into play tapped. OR some sort of side benefit, like an X/X creature tokens.
