Agreed; but see my earlier comment about the bounds on this design space. One or two more cards and we're halfway to the rare Glimpse the Unthinkable. I guess this could be 2 mana rather than 3.
Took the ability from Ecriot Plans, replacing Grimoire of the Don which was very close to the effect of Don Condri.

Will have a ponder (not a Ponder).
I've just realised that, allowing 1 mana for Instant, this is Tome Scour for 1 more card at 1 more mana. That doesn't feel like a very good deal.

D'oh! Okay, need a new name. Happy to take suggestions.

Yes, but they're riding living things.
I agree entirely. It is exactly a Sorcery Dark Banishing, so costing Banishing-minus-1 seems right - but I certainly wouldn't pick it as highly as DB or DB.

Sadly, though, Memory Erosion already exists

Heh. Yes, this isn't intended to be the new Baneslayer :)
Mirror of Grudges of the Earth.

On the other hand, they generally have type Knight. Hmm.

The cantrip line might push this card over the edge into being too strong, particularly given the nasty effects that certain creatures can have when unblocked. ( Demented Lavaflinger, anyone?) On the other hand, the cantrip ties so well into the flavor of the name that I hesitate to remove it.
Agreed with Eric that "Memory Erosion" is a better (and more blue) name than "Mind Erosion". Changed.

I don't think I noticed the name until Vitenka reminded me. My primary referrant would have been Baloo once, when I loved the cartoon, but now would be Taliesin instead. "Talespinner" might be enough of a change, or you could alternatively ignore it, or embrace it by referencing bears in the flavour text :)
Well, Raise the Alarm exists, but so does Ashcoat Bear. I think I agree 2W would be fine, as would 1WW. It's the kind of thing that could be tweaked to fine-tune the colours' strength in limited, if we played enough draft/sealed to be able to do that.
