As the first global Aura I've seen, it's a bit goofy to wrap the brain around. Definitely a Johnny card; on its own it basically reads "RR, sacrifice a land: That land deals 2 damage to target creature or player." Even with Genju of the Spires, though, it doesn't seem as broken as it first appears. The land creature bonus probably doesn't justify its complexity cost.

There are other global Auras - notably all the common Guildpact Magemarks like Infiltrator's Magemark. There's actually deliberate synergy between this and Brink of Destruction, as well as the obvious mirror in green, Uprising of the Earth. But yeah, this is definitely a Johnny card indeed :)
