I don't like slimes fit as a creature type and hate their appearances in fantasy. That is why this doesn't have a base creature type.

Slimes are quite common in D&D, but Idk man.

Since it buffs the creature(s) it's copying, I could see dropping the 'you control' clause here though maybe it would be less flavorful?
