For Challenge # 004, Abednego Otaibi's version of an unsummon spell. I personally dislike , but at least the card is simple enough that all the confusion is funneled into that odd casting cost.
The Banishment dovetails into Abednego's strategy by targeting multiple things (something his +1 wants you to do), and returning things to its owner's hand (something his ultimate wants you to do). My first thought was to make this:
Instant
Return X target permanents with a converted mana cost of Y or less to its owner's hand.
which would have been murder on the creature tokens, but perhaps a bit too expensive for anything else.
I did think of Fireball with the XY version. I'm not sure which is more confusing to players, and which is less. Wizards seems to think an extra line about targeting is less confusing... maybe their right.
Hah, looks like I've got Y in the list of mana symbols (which is why it's not treated like {A} or something), but not got the actual image in the images directory. I'll fix that :P
This is a nice sensible, powerful spell, that works with two of its companion Planeswalker's abilities. Thumbs up.

Oh, hey, look at that. No picture for
yet in Multiverse.
You could word it like Fireball, maybe. I do like this synergy with Abednego.
