Feels more red-blue than green-blue. But I guess it's following in the tradition of Ghazbán Ogre... It's actually quite similar to Might Makes Right.

Eh, I read the card as blue restricted by a green drawback rather than red-blue.

I think it can be GU, which is how I came up with it because G usually has a lot of big-matters cards, but I agree R fits better flavourwise and mechanicwise
