See Ouch, Worse than Blood Moon.
Doesn't look very strong. Compare Goblin Trenches or Pegasus Stampede.
Or maybe Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle. Or possibly Budoka Gardener.
I think you could make an argument about how Deep Warrens could do something silly in the right combo deck, since it's an engine card. But the important thing about Valakut and the Gardener is that they did something relevant before they 'turned on'. Deep Warrens sits on the table, or in your hand, for more than half the game. Even if I had a clever combo, not being able to use my cards would bug me.
Though, admittedly, the same argument of not being able to play your cards could be said for Enormous Baloth.
Yeah, "Do this only if you control 7 or more lands" has normally been phrased as "Mana cost
" before. And this is really not at all appealing as a 7-mana enchantment, even with "When ~ ETBs, untap up to five lands."
It's kinda true. By the time you have seve lands, you want something more interesting than 1/1 goblin tokens.
Just scrap that limit. Sure; it's then a stong aggro card you can shoot yourself in the foot with by being too aggressive. Why is that a bad thing?
Not to keep piling on, but I don't know why none of us thought of Zombie Infestation yet.
