Don't know why you need the last bit. Ixidron allowed arbitrary creatures to be face-down 2/2s. And if you're getting nifty morph triggers, well, you've already paid 7 mana for the big demon, so it's not overly early.
It sounds like a way of counteracting the possibility of putting face-down instants on the battlefield.
The problem is then that if there's no way of getting them face up, why they need to be face down cards instead of discarding your hand Malfegor-style and getting a bunch of tokens.
left off the non-creature bit of 2nd sentence - sorry
Also, there are cards that let you turn face-down creatures/cards face up in this 'set'.
Answering SadisticMystic - they would need to be face down creatures, as this guy would be in a block/set with Morph (including my Spellmorph mechanic) and cards that care about face down creatures like this guy Lord of the Unknown.
