Vesuvian Dreams becomes a copy of target non-land spell in the ante. If you are copying an Instant or Interrupt, you may cast this spell at Instant or Interrupt speed, respectively.
For Challenge # 142. If ante is a thing, it's only a matter of time before some designer tries to use it as a resource. I did think of just making another card type just called 'Spell', which said something like "Whenever you reveal this card, choose a card in your ante. It' a copy of that card". Some of that had to do with a desire to have the spellcaster pay the cost of the spells, and some of it came from the "What if there are two lands in the ante?" question.
In the end, I thought it was just better to keep the cost low, and design a different card that specifically cares about land in the ante: Nature's Epiphany.
