For Challenge # 102. Hooray for designing cards that will automatically be banned in Commander!
Though, maybe not. Fourteen mana sure is alot. I'm not sure where "Knock a person down to one" is supposed to go, but I'm guessing right about here.
I'm also rather sad about that "if you cast this from your hand" line... but I can't let this go off to the Spellweaver Helixes of the world. That just wouldn't seem right. What I really want to do is to give this spell a modest high cost for a modest high damage ( for 6 damage, say) and back it up with an activated ability that discards the card and costs . Much harder to abuse activated abilities than it is to sneak a spell on the stack. But then it wouldn't fit the challenge, neh?
I'm not sure it's worth including the "cast from hand" rider on this. There's still things like Fist of Suns.
Shrug That's a bit like saying the "When you cast" rider on Elderazi isn't worth it because of Fist of the Suns. If that was the case, then why did they include them?
No, on further reflection, don't answer that. I know there's a good "even if they get countered" response, which is legitimate. Still think spells of extra-ordinary size deserve some sort of 'must be played legitimately' restriction. But, I agree, I don't like this one.
