Hm. So it's equivalent to "{t}, Sacrifice ~: Add {4} to your mana pool. Spend this mana only to cast artifact spells."

Seems a bit too strong. Remember how Slash Panther is getting cast on turn 1 in Vintage off Mishra's Workshop.

I agree. I upped the rarity, and modified it, so kinda works like Mox Opal now. 0 cost, but needs some kind of loop you need to go through. Changed playtest name to Philosopher Mox-stone.

All your artifacts are 1 cheaper? I could see that as a perfectly good 2-cost artifact.

As a 0-cost... maybe activated on metalcraft?

Not all your artifacts - it's a oneoff. It's like a Lotus Petal for artifacts, which is probably actually slightly weak given Simian Spirit Guide. Maybe {1}-cost {2}-discount, or {1}-cost {3}-discount - so a sorcery-speed Dark Ritual for artifacts? As a mythic legend (making it non-chainable), I could see that.

As for metalcraft, Vitenka - have you seen Mox Opal?

Yes, it's hideous and needs to be banned. (You can tell it's gonna be broken and overpowered; it's a mythic.) An artifact-only one seems fair to me.

But ok, just a one-off 1-mana boost seems kinda low on the usefulness scale. Even as a mox-cost.

thanks for the suggestions. 1 cost 3 discount seems to be the right fit.

0 - 2 or 1 -3? 0-2 presents the problem of t1 - 3 overseers kinda op. 1-3 maybe? Given affinity mass produces and this is a one-shot, it's actually less useful to have more mana.

now it's like a worse sol-ring.

What problem were you referring to about overseers? If you mean Steel Overseer, I don't think it's a problem because you'd need a very specific hand - 3 of this and 3 of that - which is vanishingly unlikely to happen.

true. So Mox it is.

made the card much more flexible, but also lowered it so it only gains 1 mana.

It will die instantly for being a Planeswalker with 0 loyalty. It's also a creature without a P/T, which is bad.
