History: [-]

Did you realise that you had 16 lands in the set, and that eight of them involve red one way or another.

Is that really intentional? I thought green and white were the landiest colours.

The set theme does include Lands being affiliated with RED-green.

Yeah - but HALF of them in red? Seems excessive. Green only touches five.

(For completeness, white has foure, blue has five and black has three)

Note: I'm doing things like counting 'sky temple' as blue and library of atrapice as WU, by their names.

There are 17 land in the set. The actual colour affiliation list:

As CH said, this is because in this set, red is the primary land colour and green is secondary. I think these numbers are about right. There are three that any colour can use, but the colours in this set that care about land are primarily red, secondarily green. So that's precisely as designed.

What your comment does highlight to me is that the corresponding pattern isn't as clear among the artifacts, which are meant to be WHITE-blue. Of the set's 20 nonland artifacts, there are 6 white-affiliated, but only one blue-affiliated which is also one of the white-affiliated. I should perhaps make that 6 and 3, or 5 and 3, to match the numbers for the land.

Atrapice I count as WU since that's where your flavour put it, Sky Temple I counted as blue (sky) and as you say, avalanche is clearly red in flavour.

The artifacts I haven't got to yet.

Oh, I see, you were talking about the flavour? In which case I haven't assessed it, and don't really care much. Sky Temple is an interesting card usable by a blue-green deck, a black-white deck, or any other. From a design point of view, what I care about is the mechanical affiliation. (Although I've seen mono-red decks run Pendelhaven, and mono-green decks run Teetering Peaks...)
