Avatar of Slaughter + Flux Dragon

Itchy and Scratchy meets.. Ok, energy flux on demand, on a 5/5 body that can.. block an additional artifact with clumsy wording, I think? Yeah, that was the intent; fixied.

Kinda interesting. Lots of things going on here, so let's start with common bits. It's a big stompy red creature; which doesn't fly. They both do things to combat (one messes with blocking, one forces attacks)

Eh; we'll go with this. It's not the most exciting idea ever; but it's kinda fun.

Mmmm. Nice. Their stuff can still block your other stuff, but has to block this as well. (And will probably die doing so.)

This does have the weird property that its "block more stuff" ability is a drawback when you're attacking, and a white effect when anyone else it.

This should either gain flying, or not be a dragon, BTW. The "dragons fly" archetype is pretty strongly ingrained in Magic these days.

(Also, why is Avatar of Slaughter "Itchy and Scratchy"? I mean, sure, it's excessively violent like they are, but so are many MtG cards...)

(All cats and mice and scorpions and snakes and elves must attack each turn... where they fight; and fight and fight..) Yeah; ok, so it doesn't actually say fight.

Mmm, you're probably right on the flying; and I was worried about it problematically really being a white card.

Not sure whether giving this flying makes it better or worse in that regard.

If it has flying and is a dragon, it's very red.

Hah! There's counter examples; but I like the jib of your dragon sir. Done.
