For Challenge # 066. Dimir is really tricky. Almost every U/B card could, in theory, be a Dimir card. The whole theme of Dimir seems to be 'a pile of modular answers'...
...which is where this idea for an anti-Dimir U-B card comes from. It's very linear... you really want to play it with... um... fish of all things. The dour underground should frown at this card - not just because its silly - but because it doesn't let U/B stick and move. Dimir is all about having all the answers to any number of situations. This card is the answer to a very specific deck.
Amusingly, it looks like there are only 19 Fish in the entirety of Magic; it'd be a very specific deck :)
Very specific, indeed. 4 of them already have flying...
Gatecrash, however, gave me 2 more to work with. And I heard evolve works well with Dandan, so we're good. ;)
Why does it make frog tokens, but do things for fish?
I was channeling tribal sets in general, and imagining this fairie in a world similar to Lorwyn. That would mean this card could make sense paired with 4 different tribes... but I have to admit that throwing fish at attacking players is probably funnier. I'm switching to fish.
