I tried to make a common one-drop planeswalker. I thought "mana fixing which is comparable to llanowar elves, sometimes better on the first turn, but is used up" fit red.
I'm not quite happy that the abilities can't be mixed and matched: I think that's the ideal of a planeswalker. But there's still a choice whether to use an ability immediately or not, so I think it does feel different from a land or a sorcery.
I racked my brains to think of a third ability, preferably one about mountains that would rarely be used, and would be obvious when you should use it, since it looks a bit austere as is, but for a common, I think all the abilities should be grockable in one glance. I considered putting a mountain onto the battlefield from your hand, tapping an opponent's mountain (or plains/island), or turning a mountain into a 1/1 UEOT, but nothing seemed simple enough.
Alternatively, this could be bumped up in rarity or cost and perhaps have an ability added to make it more koth-lite :)

Very interesting. Nice idea. The most common-suitable planeswalker design I've seen. I think it could probably stand to have 3 loyalty.
