Heh. Ludevic's Test Subject is a lizard... but you're right, it isn't common in blue. I could have sworn that Teferi had one, but it turned out to be Teferi's Drake.
So, if I'm to get this right, Fossil is a bit like Phasing, except it gets a whole extra turn? I don't think you want a whole turn, since that includes an untap and a draw step... the idea seems intriguing, though.
Every time I hear about the mythic version of the salamanders, I think to myself "Geez. Those Europeans needed to get out of the house more. It's just an amphibious lizard... you'd think they wouldn't build a crazy and obsessively wrong mythos around something that could be observed at your local lake." It's a bit like taking a deer and turning it into a firebreathing monster that ate the hearts of men and were responsible for the Fall of the Roman Empire. Oh, hold it. That's the Peryton.

Yeah, I saw it brought up on a comment in the last one, and it seemed like a really fun challenge.
I'm very late to this party, but I've got Pleisosaur Fossil, Eurayle, the Silent Beauty, and Magma Serpent.
Is this for Challenge # 003?
I was musing about the colours that amphibians appear in. Most frogs are green and/or blue; there's Morgue Toad in black which is somewhat unexciting. As my Challenge # 003 shows, I like thinking about creatures in unconventional colours, so I wondered: What would a red or white amphibian look like? So I created Submerging Salamander, and plan to create a white one later.
The Wizards salamanders appear to be fusions between real salamanders and the mythical salamander, such as the ones that appear in D&D and Harry Potter.
I like this design, by the way.
Created for Challenge # 032. I originally concepted this as an amphibious red lizard, but I realised Salamander is just too close to the concept, so a Salamander it became. More amphibious than most salamanders though.
This is a really interesting design.

Yeah, a cost of two makes this a nice trap, instead of an evil frogsplosion of madness.

That should totally work. Also, of course, frogemoth will trigger a second frogemoth, until every frogemoth in existence is involved in the battle (in APNAP order?) in a monstrous pile of ever shifting alliances and frogs.
Thankfully, they then get exiled. More thankfully still, this has already happened somewhere in the universe, so we're all safe now.
