Ooh, interesting. It might start off as a 20/20, but you can't use it like that. Even if it just hit once as a 10/10 at the cost of ten life, that would be pretty good, but reasonable. And so hard to resist the temptation of attacking again.

I'm not positive. I think most cards should probably not have damage (2^x)². But protecting a fragile creature, and paying a total of eight mana over three turns is a reasonable investment :) But 16 damage is a pretty big return.
