I thought it would be interesting to make a challenge referencing previous challenges.
The challenge is simply to design a cycle using other people's ideas from Challenge # 029 and/or Challenge # 031, and hopefully expand on those ideas. Remember to give the original designers credit where it is due.
Added Gerrard's Nightmare.
You know, I knew I wasn't going to get any creativity points for suggesting this one, since, I'm quite sure that this challenge has appeared on a number of message boards. It obviously works, though. :)
For Challenge # 033, based on Dude1818's Feverous Charge. Name based on Rootwater Shaman.
I like this game. :)
I made Feverous Charge.
For Challenge # 033 in response to Touch of Rage.
(Technically, Peculiar Soulwrangling costs

for this effect. By the way, in most sets, I would consider that card to be first pick in draft... even if I didn't plan on adding blue.)
Good suggestion, and thanks. :)
This makes more flavor sense, given the name... but it's still evil.
I wasn't really thinking about how powerful this would be when I made it, I was just trying to riff off of Personal Demon's reference to the highest life total, and sadly that resulted in a broken card.
I find it interesting that there are 3 distinct versions of this on here. Chronologically we have

which to me, says that this is probably about right for this effect.
Daimon's Revenance by Darkheart. Then
Peculiar Soulwrangling by Alex
and now this.
And the interesting thing is that they were all costed the same -
Me either. :S
Touch of Rage
Following Deathmage's Touch for Challenge # 033
For Challenge # 033, following Tenacious Tenacity.
And yes, I agree this is nice. It's the same idea as Peculiar Soulwrangling, but I think it probably is printable in monoblack (perhaps at 6 mana as jmg suggests). I don't know why jmg says this can't be worked around by bouncing, though.
I did want to make the mana cost White-White, to riff off Rite-Wright, but that made it too cheap :)
Funky! A False Demise that keeps coming back... well, that was Fool's Demise, but this is a more amusing take on it :)
