I don't see the point in gaining protection after combat. Before, it can act as evasion. The only other time granting protection matters is in response to a spell or ability. Also, if you do grant protection, make sure to include "This effect doesn't remove Auras."
I fused black's discard with white's protection. Maybe it should whenever enchanted creature attacks, but then I feel it might need to be upped in rarity.
Made it exile instead of bottom of library and included a clause so that you could get a creature of equal CMC but different name. This is a tricky fusion because I want to fuse blue's polymoprh (usually for harming opponent's creatures) with green's creature tutoring (which is a player's benefit).

I forgot that protection from creatures is better than intimidation. Hmm I'll have to rework the card.

What are the constraints of the cycle? Costing CCE? This card could afford to target any card, or perhaps be an enchantment with this ability.
