changed the first ability to make 2/2 dwarves and clarified the emblem by adding first before "post combat main phase" so it doesn't go infinite but you get the 2nd combat phase on each of your turns.
Also changed the -1 to +0
I love the emblem. So much. Does it not go infinite, though?
Yeah, I like this. Indeed, by wizards standards, I think it can be stronger: compare the +1 on Garruk, Primal Hunter (which admittedly is triple-G, but the abilities are a lot better).
Yeah I wanted a red planeswalker that wasn't fire based/related and I figured that as this guy is a warrior, Relentless Assault would be good with the emblem. He doesn't automatically win bit, if you're getting 2 combat phases each turn .....
Changed +1 back to original which combines nicely with Ultimate.
Remember that [+] abilities shouldn't need to target creatures, as then you can't activate them on an empty board.
Nice aggressive-feeling red guy though - we don't really have a red planeswalker with that flavour at the moment. Emblem of Relentless Assault Every Turn is nice, and astonishingly, there hasn't been an enchantment that does that; Finest Hour or perhaps Waves of Aggression is as close as it comes.
The perfect answer to Psychic Venom!
Heh. Curse Artifact / Wanderlust but more general. Seems reasonable.
Yeah I had that feeling too, I just decided that the mirror of the two was just too nice to change them around.
Interestingly, these were going to be part of a cycle of Artifacts (one for each colour) that provided an in-colour keyword ability for C or in an off-colour deck, basically like the shard cycle from Mirrodin - eg Skeleton Shard. After designing these two, I liked the mirror so much that I decided not to do the rest of the cycle (maybe I should post them over in snap for posterity/the curious).
Nice. Has the slight problem that lifelink just isn't quite as good as deathtouch, but the elegance of the mirror here is undeniable.
