There's one axis you could choose which would make this inneffectual. Don't choose that one. Or, for ease of balancing the thing, one too close to it. The other possibilities flip your library over; so you're now drawing from the bottom and it's revealed.
Half mana? Cannae.
"Until it has lethal damage marked on it," because SI just said it survives until the spell finishes resolving
Bah; stupid rules. Rewording so it works the way I plainly enunciated I want it to work.
> In practice, this is usually just going to fight 2 or 3 things before it dies. But throw it at something invulnerable, and boom.
SBAs are not checked during the resolution of a spell, so the creature will not die to lethal damage before the spell finishes resolving.
Use this on e. g. a 4/2 and it will wipe all the 5/5s you don't control and obviously anything else 5 that or smaller toughness you don't control.
Whether that's more than two or three creatures that often depends, but invulnerability just is the difference between "sac a creature to wipe your opponents' side of the board" vs. "wipe your opponents' side of the board".
I misread the reminder text on ((C106981)).
In practice, this is usually just going to fight 2 or 3 things before it dies. But throw it at something invulnerable, and boom.
Cool Story Bro! I'm officially an insider now!
Will check out purportedly-terrible card generator
And yeah, you can always be proud that you came up with something before a real magic set did it ! (Although technically the generator would get the award...)
Ok, so "knocked into a crooked hat" is a really reallY old (like; Dickensian - though it's American) slang term for, roughly, "beaten up"
Here, I'm using it for "Nyahhh, we made blue zombies wayyyyy before you did".
Type-4 is a magic format. Name comes from teh olden days of, what, a decade ago? They renamed "Type-2" to be "Standard" and I think "Type-1" is what is now "Vintage"?
Anyway; there isn't a type-4, we made it up. Based on Alex' magic card auto-generator. Which can be found here:
https://www.toothycat.net/wiki/bnf.pl?page=AlexChurchill/MagicCardGenerator
This comes up with some... more or less terrible cards. And occasionally some absolutely memorable gems. "Zombies are blue" is one of the better creations it ever spat up - since it's actually a valid (albeit fairly useless) magic card rules-text.
(Type 4 format was, basically; every turn play a completely random card; no we mean it, you don't get much more random than this. Laugh a lot at the results.)
And, of course, Innistrad introduced blue zombies. Making this rules-text both more viable and less surprisingly silly. (Remember, at the time; all zombies were black.)
This is why i need to learn to read Vitenkese
Also, beat Innistrad into a crooked hat. Thank you Type-4 generator :)
Why doesn't first stirke work this way? (Because it would be even more stupid-powerful, obviously.)
Fair enough. I don't think you can either
Nothing; it's just my set is because of most of the cards in it. I don't think I can set border per card?
What's silver-bordered about this? Reminds me a lot of Mirage Mirror and Mizzium Transreliquat
Honestly, I like yours more. Ne.
Related Creator's Clay, I realised I don't think there's a vesuvian-copy-artifact.
So, well, here's one.
i will always find a way to escape the island prison of consolas
Um; it's not? Also, Alex - your markup sanitiser needs fixing :)
okay but why did you have to make it

It was a "stonkingly useless ability" in the discussion.
And I needed a word.
Also, there needs to be more Ramna 1/2 + Sphinx mashup.
Why "stonk"?
Came up in a silly discussion on Warrant / Warden which lead to "Blue still doesn't have combat keywords" which led to this as a posisble keyword. And sure; it's obviously mostly stupid on a creature that has square stats. But consider it as a puzzle box. Granting toughness is usually cheaper than granting power, after all.
Except the rules tie together very tightly and neatly, and this is still going to die because it doesn't have enchant anything.
If you add "Enchant permanent" then this works.
The parallelism between enchanting and equipping, and the way they both use the same concept of "attach", is indeed intriguing, if that's what you're getting at. It's possible to have an object that's an Enchantment - Aura with enchant creature suddenly start to instead be an Artifact - Equipment and remain attached to the same creature, which is fun. Ditto vice versa, which is what my Soulblade of Honour does, and the DFC version Soulblade of Honor inspired by it.
Purpose is mainly for "That's a silly rule. I can be attached for all SORTS of non-enchanting reasons".
yes; make artifact so it stays attached. And, uh, typeline is now too too long.
Hmm. As a way to enable Fencer's Magemark and friends to apply to whatever you want, presumably. Was this meant to be an Artifact as well as an Enchantment? In which case I guess you're aiming for similar space to Soulblade of Honour?
701.3a says "An Aura, Equipment, or Fortification can’t be attached to an object it couldn’t enchant, equip, or fortify, respectively." Technically this is an Aura that doesn't have an enchant ability, so it can't be attached to anything, so it'll fall off immediately and die. Also without "enchant X" it enters unattached and again will die for being an unattached Aura.
"303.4b The object or player an Aura is attached to is called enchanted."
