I can see taking Haste off of this. I was just trying to keep with the multiples of 3 thing.
It's not really in the "Fun mythic" camp. Haste is just too much "You didn't know I owned this? Too bad, you lose" if you ask me.
But, well, wizards do print haste on big things sometimes.
In putting Intimidate on a gold card I was trying to find a way to "scare off" some colors of creatures and not just all of them. Also the attack trigger ability was worded to help multiplayer games in that the target doesn't have to be the player that you're attacking.
Just checking though that this is still with-in the "mostly balanced mythic" territory.
Well, this is "12 damage to the face and discard 3 cards, and next turn I do it again and win; if somehow that didn't do the job"
But eh, it costs 9 mana. That's allowed to be stonkingly overpowered.
Intimidate is really strange on a gold creature, mind you.
Changing it some. here is the original text for comparison. "Destroy target aura. At the beginning of your upkeep if there is an aura on the battlefield, return Aura Errosion to your hand."
I;m making it slower and an option to retrieve it.
Or like Circle of Protection: Blue, I suppose. It really hammers the deck it hurts, but wouldn't normally be put in a deck in the first place... unless it is... then, you know, game over.
Mmm. Not really, because this card is itself only actually playable in a deck if Auras get strong enough :) It's like Leyline of the Void. You don't maindeck it in casual because it'll usually be a dead card; but you sideboard it, or bring out your tailored anti-tech deck, against the decks that really abuse the mechanic it hoses.
Sigiled Skink with flying. Or a tiny common version of Prognostic Sphinx. Or Flying Men plus Aqueous Form :)
(Well, technically they can play them; they just can't ever keep them.)
I'm not sure making it rare actually helps. The existence of this completely invalidates Auras; and they were already quite marginal.
Wow. Opponent cannot play any aura's ever? Seriously harsh for an uncommon.
