Yes it was intentional. I just wanted to make sure that the wording I used works as intended.
Oh. If that's intentional, go for it. I wasn't sure.
My goal is that if they cascade into (I.E. reveal any dragon that they could cast from the cascade ability ) that Thunderfall Dragon goes back to the players hand whether or not they choose to cast the revealed dragon. So if I cast this and reveal say Dragon Whelp then thunderfall Dragon would go back to my hand reguardless of if I chose to cast the welp.
Weird. I'm not sure how this would work in the rules, but in principle you should be able to see what gets cast off the cascade trigger. I guess you could just define "When ~ cascades into a * spell" to mean "When you cast a * spell exiled with ~'s cascade ability." My only suggestion is that you make it a may ability, in the off chance you really want it resolve anyway.
That's true let me tweak this a little. I put reminder text after the new ability in case it's needed. If it's not needed I'll take it off to reduce the amount of text on the card.
Most people would never discard.
I just ran with the color cost that seemed right to me I can change it to costing if it'll help
Oh yes, good point. I like that.
Looks great. I just wonder why it's got two green mana in the cost? Feels annoyingly asymmetric. This does feel like a green dragon, thanks to the vigilance-trample-hexproof combination, but it's got flying too so I don't think it needs to be quite so explicitly closer to green than any other colour.
Hee! That's a delightful aspect to this wording that I really didn't notice. It works perfectly for that, it's just entirely non-obvious about it. Great lenticular design.
My goal with keeping it from damaging player but not giving it defender is an attempt to still let it hit PW but I'm not sure there is a clean way to do that.
Ok sounds good.
What's the fair price for a 4/4 with defender? Probably or (cf Plumeveil). That's basically what this is, because it'll never be sensible to attack with it except for very unusual circumstances. (I could imagine a fun ninjutsu deck using this.)
