Well, blister Beetle is a thing, so it's not the worse that could go. At that cost, though, it could probably afford to have another keyword (cf. Cultbrand Cinder being a 3/3). Maybe Intimidate would make repeat use slightly less frequent? Or Deathtouch for some tension?

That's a nice pair of abilities. My first thought is that it's more suited for uncommon, but I guess it's something like a Sparkmage Apprentice that's unblockable, which is plausible for common.
