@Alex I actually hadn't noticed that about the mechanics!
(The above only refers to Fate Reforged. Khans of Tarkir certainly does have red prowess - Monastery Swiftspear is the prowess creature that's seen the most Constructed play - as well as green delve, white raid, and so on, so that was more wedge-y. It's just Fate Reforged having to bridge a wedge set and an allied-colour set that puts it under such constraints.)
Ah! I hadn't noticed that at all, I just assumed wedge meant the keyword would be shared amongst all three colours. I feel a bit cheated of "true" wedges, where the enemy colour isn't a third wheel, but that does make a lot of sense for the next set.
Nich Grayson pointed out to me over here that it's not just the DTK mechanics, but the KTK ones too: there's no prowess in red, no delve in green, and no ferocious in blue.
All of the Dragons of Tarkir mechanics only appeared in the two allied colors, right? I guess by "all" I just mean this and dash. Presumably the other three clans will be getting new mechanics as well once we reach their allied-color forms in the next set.
I don't know whether or not this is deliberately subverting the way that Fate Reforged's mechanics only appear in the allied colour pairs (so bolster is only in white and green).
templating
yes, but nondestructive wrath are an occasional and unusual development.
Mmm... But it doesn't punish Hallowed Burial or Final Judgment, which are treated as wraths in most ways. Avoiding fuelling sac outlets is a noble cause, though a tricky one.
Actually I wanted a red way to punish wraths, which is precisely why it says "destroyed": I didn't want it to fuel sacrifice outlets!
Wouldn't "dies" be much simpler than "is destroyed"? I bet a lot of players wouldn't correctly guess which out of Incinerate, Final Judgment, Mutilate, Disintegrate and Cruel Edict count as causing destruction.
This is interesting, anyway. This rewards you for killing your own creatures, unlike Shriveling Rot or Dingus Staff. It's twice as effective as Boggart Shenanigans or Hissing Iguanar, though not as good as Stalking Vengeance... aha! This is the same level of damage as Rage Thrower. But that triggers off anyone's stuff dying, not just yours.
Anyway, that little search seems to show that the cost and rarity are about right.
forgot the all-important recurring effect
Ice-themed phoenix idea.
Started off as an outlast mana dork, but I couldn't think of a good name, and then I came up with this.
Perhaps so.
Does the "username" field need to be capped at a sane length in the 20-32 range?
