That would be exciting. I would like to get a handle on how Countries feel to play with before I go too in-depth designing the set around them.
I don't know much about Apprentice or Cockatrice myself. I have a feeling I heard that both of them got shut down though.
I'm giving LackeyCCG a try tonight, so if it works very well, I'll look into making it very easy for Multiverse to export into its plugin format.
I don't really know anything about Apprentice or LackeyCCG.
Was missing starting loyalty.
Unfortunately, none of my RL friends are ever interested in helping me out.
Aye. That's the big problem of custom cardset design.
Eventually I'd love for Multiverse to be able to be a way to do that online. But for the moment we have to export to things like Apprentice or LackeyCCG, or print things out and try to find people to play with f2f.
I really wish I had someone with whom to playtest.
This was meant to compare directly to Doomed Traveler, but you're right in that it doesn't look very good at all. Not all cards can, of course, but perhaps this deserves to be a 1/1.
Less efficient than Doomed Traveler. On the one hand that's good and proper because white should get better weenies than black, but on the other hand this just looks a bit anaemic. I go to the trouble of letting my 0/1 creatures die, and my reward is... a Prickly Boggart?
Remember that in this set, all the current cards with type "Planeswalker Land" actually have type "Land - Country". I've nearly got the fix ready that'll let Link display that how he wants - just need another couple of hours to plug the UI and database code together and get it rolled out. Until then, read "Country" as "Planeswalker Land" or vice versa.
Loyalty counters on creatures? I did that on my artifact that makes creature planeswalkers, but at least mine have abilities... I just looked back at this, didn't realize it put them on target Country instead of the loyalist itself.
Yeah, the + ability was unpleasant. I'm having a complexity creep problem as I design more of these.
The ultimate is awesome - it quadruples your mana for a turn! If you've refilled your hand (or kept a card drawing spell) then you can cast a vast amount of stuff. The + is painful though. Makes it a lot easier for the opponents to hit this, your other countries, or just you. And to have to do that every third turn I use this land... It's just owch. It'd make me leave this land in the City of Brass pile, the lands you really want to avoid using unless you have to.
The first ability is too weak for its ultimate, which is 'okay' at best (X costs) and very expensive.
It"s alright. I'm just grateful for all the work you've put in already. :-)
Ha! A Country that makes itself easier to attack! But in exchange for patriotic mana for 4 turns, seems a fun tradeoff.
Sorry you're still having to write "Planeswalker Land". I'll try to fix that soon.
"Planeswalker Land" isn't literal in this set, insomuch as these wouldn't be printed with that typeline. Instead, the type would be "Land — Country," which is a bit less silly. The functionality, however, would be almost identical to "Planeswalker Land." I've only had to make these Planeswalker Lands because otherwise the loyalty abilities don't display correctly.
This would be a Planeswalker, not a Planeswalker Land... The latter makes no sense, given that planeswalkers are just planeswalkers. Karn isn't an Artifact Planeswalker, even though he's not an Eldrazi and he's colorless.
