Heh. Yeah, this is probably a bit OTT. I think a Fortification version of Fertile Ground is okay at cost-fortify (the Community Set currently has it at / which is quite strong). This is like a / version of that but worse in two ways (sac an artifact, and spending restriction).
Hi Guys. Thanks for the input jmg - really interesting talk on the uncommon 2cc activation lands, it helped a lot. Vit - Changed it up it's now worded the same as Energy Chamber which is what I was originally going for and has lost ETB Tapped.
You know, I just gone done talking about uncommon lands with 2cc activations on the card Orbital Command. I'm a bit too tired to evalutate what's fair right now, but there's a list of cards to compare it in bullet points on that page.
I think that usually artifact creatures get +1/+1 and plain old artifacts get charge counters. But apart from needing another counter colour, there's probably no harm in mixing the two up. If this didn't have : you could probably cut out the part of the second ability Energy Chamber costing as it does, so you could instead probably cut out the ETB tapped part?
I was originally trying to think of a funny creature type that the illusions could turn into to indicate that they are now dead. Something like "T: Target Illusion becomes Mist". Unfortunately, neither Elemental or Golem get the idea across, and Shade was too abstract a joke.
heh why not go all out - target illusion gets +0/+0 UEoT - it does nothing to illusions without the target sac clause but for those that do......
Better yet make him Rare and add "All Illusions have 'when this becomes the target of a spell or ability sacrifice it.'" for lots of funky fun. For even more fun combo it with Field of Dreams from the Multiverse Design Challenge

I like it. I'd play it in several artifact-heavy decks. And certainly any deck with a Lux Cannon :P
Six mana to let me pay 1 mana and an artifact for 2 mana with a spending restriction?
Harsh!

LOL. I like "+0/+0" :)
