Updated to Tahazzar's wording
I don't know what the original was exactly, but I would imagine SI might have meant to not have the ability grant an ability to those spells but rather just straight-up make it directly trigger from those.
My recommendation for the wording:
First strike
If ~ would leave the battlefield, instead shuffle it into its owner's library.
Whenever you cast a spell, you may pay

. If you do, destroy all creatures and planeswalkers.
Wait, what does that last ability on the current card do? So this wouldn't have the ability, but this would grant that ability to all creatures and such you cast (also I don't think it would do anything with nonpermanent cards)?
This kind of effect is generally in blue's pie today. See Renowned Weaponsmith and all the way back to Vedalken Engineer.
Updated to SecretInfiltrator's wording
You probablycould make this whole ability a lot easier on the rulesby making it a triggered ability that say "Whenever you cast a spell, you may pay" etc.
But even if you had some top-notch reason to make this a static ability, the "If you do" probably wants to be a "When you do" pretty hard. OTherwise there are a lot of open questions regarding the timing of that ability.
I guess the intention is "This only has a sixth of a deathtouch; but delivers it six times adding up to a whole deathtouch".
Agreed it's largely going to be trinket text.
Deathtouch on a 6 power creature is funny.
Flavor text seems weird in that given it has said deathtouch, the venom seems quite potent.
The two abilities don't seem particularly connected.
It can also help activating abilities of lands which with it being a Horse would have nice a farming theme.
Kinda reminds me of Thran Turbine btw.
"cast artifact spells or activate abilities of artifacts." to "activate abilities of noncreature permanents." This new version still can aid regular artifact's abilities, but now has a wider-breath in supporting enchantment activated abilities as well (which I think could be in white's slice).
Equip costs of Equipment != Costs of artifacts spell in general
Mishra's Workshop is from MTG's second expansion that was released back in 1994 and has never been printed in paper since (has an online "reprint" for Vintage Masters). To say that it might be an outdated example for stuff like color pie or power levels would be an understatement.
I didn't know how I was going to translate a home embalming kit to a Magic card, but then it hit me. What would embalmming look like and why would there be any benefit to doing that?
