Much better. Two very thiev-ish abilities, too.
Removed "Quick (You may cast this spell as if it had flash for its Quick cost. If you do, it enters the battlefield tapped.) At the beginning of your upkeep gain control of target creature with a power of 2 or less unless and opponent puts a -1/-1 counter on a creature they control." and increased CMC from 3 to 5. New design.
Shouldn't be uncommon/not working- redo later
This seems like an extremely bad idea at common. Is generally complex build-around, scales up easily, adds extremely to board complexity, etc. I recommend uncommon.
Updated to SecretInfiltrator's wording, plus made colored mana instead of colorless.
I think I tinkered with using creature type over color and didn't delete the original text. "Add . Spend this mana only to cast a spell that shares a color with the exiled creature card." just doesn't look as visually good as a chunk of text, but I suppose it's more standard then it must be so. At that point, I guess it could make colored mana, since generation looks janky next to a specific color requirement.
Well, I learnt the term ofrenda through this card, so it'll be that in my heart.
You are correct. The wording is fine in that regard.
What's a "color type", though?
Also in your graveyard you'll find a "creature card" rather than a "creature". For similar reason you'll refer to "exiled card" over "exiled creature".
Usually this effec would probably be realized as "Add , Spend this mana only on" etc. I'm not certain how relevant the cost reduction over multiple phases is to the design.
Since this ability specifies "next" and "this turn," adding "UEOT" would be redundant and unnecessary, correct?
ult reduced from -10 to -8
Increased Memento Mori activation from to .
to . I did consider instead of .
There were photos of college students with cadavers and I honestly don't remember what those types of photos were called. I think the cadavers were posed and the college students were on the table, but it was years ago that I had looked at these images and I'm honestly not sure. I want to say that there was a phrase/name for these types of photos, but the more I ask these questions the less sure I become.
Anyway, I tried to make a design based off of studying cadavers. I interpreted instants and sorceries as being something cast through the body (the somatic components aspect of D&D spellcasting), and thus studying the dead leading. to better understanding of how the muscles relevant for the task work.
