Note to self: Watch this card b/c it might be overpowered.
Thanks @Froggychum!
There is no saga frame on the site, yet.
I'd suggest doing the formatting like what I did with Rise from the Marsh or The Eternal Storm.
Of course, it's all subjective, and do whatever you think looks most realistic, or the best.
When you make a new card, above the card itself, there is a dropdown called Frame. Select 'double-faced' from the list and you're good to go!
@Alex Thanks!
@Vitenka yeah that was the idea. Synergizes really well with the Dream mechanic.
Use "Watermark"->"Custom". Find an image like https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/mtgsalvation_gamepedia/1/1a/C.svg , adjust the transparency and balance as you wish, upload it to imgur, and stick the URL of your imgur image in the custom watermark URL field.
Um; needs "an opponent controls" or this becomes... actually; maybe it's ok if using up two cards and paying 3 mana becomes a way to untap everything.
Still trying to figure out how to create 2 types of cards:
1) Sagas
2) Transform Cards
For some reason there's a watermark for every color, guild, and wedge in the game, but there is no watermark for colorless. Does anyone know how to get the wastes watermark?
All of that is true, but it’s a bit too late to rework the mechanic or take it out.
Serenity is a mechanic that falls into a broad category of mechanics that we see all the time that is widely problematic: the "opponent threshold" where you are directly competing with an opponent to be better in a certain resource category.
The mechanic is inherently "rich get richer" or "win-more". The tension competing over the same resource becomes extremely easily to notice in the mirror: A player able to get ahead stays ahead and runs away with the game. Games need opportunities to "catch up" and these mechanics as in this case make games foregone conclusions more often instead.
As a result games become more swingy and less about player choice.
Additionally this sends a wrong message thematically, because the correct way to stay ahead in life is obviously to bash in someone's face.
Thanks! I have no idea why that's not in the formatting help part of making cards. I mean, they include energy ffs, but not untapping? Wierd.
As for the Curse supertype, I probably won't include it, but it was just a fun idea that I had. Inventing for the sake of inventing.
I know the feeling xD. I used to be a cEDH player, so I mostly ignored rarity and draft playability. Since then I've gotten friends. Lol.
