Preface
This is a set inspired by Hindu & Buddhist Mythology. This is my first attempt at custom card building, so any feedback on overpowered/underpowered cards or formatting issues would be greatly appreciated!
Mechanics/Themes --
1) Dream: Inspired by one of the founding principles of Hinduism, Chakra, this mechanic gives you the option to not untap your creatures with the benefit of casting spells at a lower cost. Cards cast for their "Dream Cost" can be cast any time a creature would untap, regardless of whether the card is an instant, sorcery, or creature.
2) Transmigrate: Inspired by the Hindu concept of reincarnation, Transmigrate allows you to recur your creatures with a different "body." When a card with Transmigrate dies, you may exile another creature card from your graveyard and pay the card's Transmigrate cost. If you do, the first creature is reanimated, but its power/toughness become the power/toughness of the creature exiled.
3) Serenity: Inspired by the Buddhist concept of Nirvana, Serenity gives cards stronger effects if you have more life than an opponent.
4) Curses: A new take on Curse cards (introduced in Innistrad Block) that gives them more tribal synergy. Many curses in this set get stronger the more Curses are in play, encouraging a build-around theme.
5) (
) Minor Gods: Whereas all previous Gods in MTG sets have been Mythic Rares, I decided to put Gods in this set at all rarities. This reflects the polytheistic aspect of Hinduism. I took a lot of inspiration from War of the Spark when making this mechanic, as that set was the first set to premier Planeswalkers at lower rarities.
Other Things to Note --
1) Names in this set are just placeholders; I will change them later. Speaking of which, suggestions for names are definitely welcome!
2) There only creature type tribal theme in the set is Gods, so all other creature types for creatures in this set could change.
3) This set is just for drafting; I'm not trying to balance cards in constructed formats right now.
Where am I in the process?
Working on creating uncommons & rares

Recently active cards: (all recent activity)
-2 Whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to a player this turn, draw a card.
-5 Target player skips their next untap step.
Whenever Bedlam Pathfinder attacks, exile the top card of your library. Until the end of your next turn, you may play those cards.
When Khafa, Wurm of Retribution enters the battlefield, you may search your library for a Curse card and exile it face-up.
When Khafa dies, you may cast the exiled card without paying its mana cost.

Announcement: Moving creation of this set to Magic Set Editor. I’ll occasionally post cards on the custom magic discord server.
I'm looking for a website where I can find fantasy-related artwork with artist credit for cards in this set. If anyone knows of a website like that, I'd love to know!
Is this worded correctly?
This is a draft-oriented set. I’m not considering other formats in its making.
I could still put in your suggestions, but the card is wordy enough.
Could this at least say "you may reveal a Swamp and a black card from your hand instead of paying its mana cost", or "you may cast it without paying its mana cost if you control a Swamp"? I really don't like giving a free Coercion to every green-blue or red-white deck in Legacy/Vintage.
There are a lot of 'curse matters' cards in the set.
What's the benefit of making this a Curse over a global enchantment?
@dude1818 Yeah, those were my thoughts exactly. If Khali Garden making a 1/1 is broken, a similar card making 2 1/1s with lifelink is bound to be broken.
The closest comparison is Sentinel Dispatch, which makes a single 1/1 with defender. Otoh, you're always guaranteed the effect. It might also be worth noting that Khalni Garden originally made a 1/1 plant, which turned out to be totally broken
Changing all of the cards in this cycle. Removing the 'no permanents' restriction, but changing around the wording on the wheel.
