    Savant's Lament

Academics were like this. They'd know how to use so-and-so's theorem, but they'd forgotten how to do anything without so-and-so's theorem because they didn't need it any more.

Thank you! I was actually drawing inspiration from Glimpse the Unthinkable, which honestly, would probably fit just as good on this card as on it's actual card... Though, that's definitely arguable.

Hmmm... what about Psychic Restoration flavored as a telepath, probably Jace, repairing the mind of someone who had their mind destroyed? Maybe it's a flashback to Jace having healed another character after they fought Bolas, and when he repairs this person's mind (maybe he was surprised to realize what they had done when he delved into their mind, because they just appeared like a somewhat-talented warrior/cleric/etc), they re-ascend as a planeswalker, because after fighting bolas, their mind was so broken that their spark stopped functioning?

Might be funny to be like, "Okay sir, I'm almost done in there, just gotta restore your memories of the last year, oh-- wait a minute, what the hell were you doing fighting an Elder Dragon?!"

    guy planeswalks away

Flavor text: Jace was surprised that when he finished restoring the local shaman's mind, the elf planeswalked right in front of his eyes! or something similar :P

I was thinking Glimpse the Thinkable (not very seriously), Glimpse of Eternity does capture a good feeling.

    Forgotten Lessons

Could have somber flavor text about a character death, maybe.

    Whispers of Arcanis

That one character with no lore, one card and who is apparently super powerful? Arcanis the Omnipotent. Maybe if you'd prefer a known character, Whispers of Bolas could work, though he is far more centered in {b} than {u}.

Glimpse the Worldsoul is pretty cool

Or, if that seems too {g} (even though Worldsouls don't always have a color identity of {g}, IIRC): Glimpse of Eternity is also a good name, and would reference the blind eternities instead of worldsouls.

I knew I didn't have that quite right, but I couldn't find the card to template around. Thank you Dude for reminding me that Kozilek exists.

But yeah 'Loot as much as you want' is clearly broken for two mana. That would guarantee your seven card, game winning combo to go off on round 3 every time. Heck, just putting the top 30 cards of your library into your graveyard is too powerful for two mana.

I think saying this could be interpreted as "choose a number larger than seven, draw until you have that many" is a really tortuous interpretation of grammar. But if there's any potential confusion it probably does need to say "if you have fewer" or something.

If you want it to be "Draw until you have seven," say that. Otherwise drawing until you have eight, twenty, whatever are also legal actions. Precision of language is important. Besides, there's no way to reach more than seven without hitting seven first, so even if it worked the way you want, it's redundant

It says to draw cards until you have seven or more cards in hand.

I think that means you can draw, say 30, and then be like, 'okay' i'll discard 30 cards now.

Actually, this might work as intended. But that depends on if this triggers each time you draw a card or once you've finished drawing? If you say, "I will draw 30 cards" do you draw 30 cards then the effect happens, or do you say 'I will draw 30 cards' and then the effect checks after each card?

I assumed the former, but the latter would work too... In which case why is there 'or more'? I guess in case you cast this while having seven (or more) cards in hand?

I don't know what the rules say (or if they have rules on this), but regardless of if this works as intended, it could still be a lot clearer.

Cool card though. Probably not broken if it works.

lets you draw as much as you want

No? Draw 1; do you have 7+? Stop. No? Repeat.

I mean, I thought the idea was for this to let you draw your whole deck (minus any cards you leave for safety) and then sift your best cards into your hand and toss the rest...

Of course, that's a bit dangerous, since your opponent could mill you... but combo this with Gaea's Blessing or Clear the Mind is one of the most stupid powerful things ever. Literally is just tutor seven cards for 4/5 mana. That's a dozen times more powerful than Ancestral Recall plus the tutor of your choice, combined.

This should definitely be changed. It's too unbelievably sweet.

"Draw until you have seven or more" just lets you draw as much as you want. Use Kozilek, the Great Distortion's template

Probably too long, but: In one ear, out the other.

Actually - do it in two bits. Cardname: Whispers in your ear Flavourtext: and out the other.
