I do understand, I just feel it wouldn't be enough to put up an additional mana? I mean, Soul's Attendant one-upped another well known card Soul Warden and it is still 1 mana?
I feel like flexibility on the micro may not need to effect efficiency? That's just from this though, so it may not be universal at all
Shatter isn't the hallmark of efficiency, in fact smelt is strictly better. Shatterstorm looks very nice.
This does not need an upcost, the up to might be flexible, so this will go to uncommon. But it's still quite close to By Force, and not to mention you said shattering spree was better, so this would still be fine because it hasnt reached there yet
Huh. This is pushed. But maybe acceptably so. I wouldn't do it at common; mainly because "How many times in a game do you really need to blow up all of your opopnents artifacts?" Once will usually do it.
My main problem with this is that it can be as efficient as Shatter; so why would you ever use that old standby? Maybe upcost by one more red? Shatterstorm is a wonderful old card they should reprint more often.
This is quite of a powerhouse right now. It's looks to be strictly better than Shattering Spree and By Force. Spree happens to be considered one of the better artifact removal cards ever printed.
EDIT: This actually isn't a strictly better Spree because you can't destroy an artifact with it by just paying a single .
Did you mean Smelt? It would be pretty strange to have this exist with another card that is in all ways the same except for one letter in its name. Strangely there is no card called 'Melt' yet - Melting and Meltdown do exist however.
You should change the condition back or increase the number of Forests needed. The default for most situations you are able to pay this card's mana cost is to control a Forest.
Maybe this isn't very spirity, but I am thinking of making a maybe white spirit archtype that helps humans? idk, i'll need conformation if that would be a really counter-intuitive idea or not. I guess it is, but maybe i shouldnt be too hasty to scrap it

Smelt already exists so Shatter is pretty meh. It's noteworthy that this hasn't stopped Shatter from being reprinted - far from it actually.
It being a strict update over By Force is my main issue with the card, but I guess whatever.

No. but you are right. Will change

I know it could just say
but this is more flavorful. Also a bit weak.. so maybe i'll change it, idk
Maybe i'll make it activated. That also feels more shambling, rather than this. this feels kind of like treehouse flavor
Yeah; this is green. Ergo, you control a forest. It's trinket text.
Which has its place, but seems odd here.
Could this be a non-green elf with this condition? That would work nicely.
That would essentially still have no impact for limited. I don't really see the purpose for standard / block constructed formats either.
Maybe make it a basic forest?

Will differentiate
My bad, will differentiate
Very good point. you've convinced me. Also I think i'd like to change the condition as well, to be MUCH more thematically pleasing
Sure thing
mechanically a golem, flavorfully an elemental
Maybe both?
In the same set as Ancestral Spirit.
In the same set as Tundra Aven.
